Bradan Stock Sales

We sell all year round, straight out of the paddock. We sell domestically and internationally. We select a handful of animals to be sold annually at the Bendigo Supreme Dorper Sale (July). All stock is 100% full blood Dorper, and can all be registered with the Dorper Sheep Society of Australia Inc.

Bradan Dorper Rams

We have rams available all year round.

For domestic and export.

We only sell our rams from 10 to 12 months old, preferably after they have been assessed by an independent breed inspector. This provides our clients with the confidence the ram is a certain quality.

All rams come with a fertility guarantee that is valid for 6 months post sale. We will replace a ram that doesn't produce in this time frame (6 months). Refund of monies is not an option.

Animals that are TYPE 2

are inferior animals and at Bradan Dorpers we cull this animal out of the flock.

Animals that are TYPE 1 CULL

This animal exhibits a cull fault and is removed from the flock.

Type 3 Flock Rams

is a good animal classified as Flock/commercial.

A Type 3 is not a stud animal. Within any stud this is by far the biggest group, that rams fall into.

Note many Type 3 animals can still have superior production or other traits.

Type 4 Stud Rams

is a very good animal.

This group has a much broader range and fits many T4 STUD Dorpers into this group. Ranging from good to excellent.

Type 5 Stud Rams

is a superior, elite animal.

This is a very small group, therefore it is only a superior animal that fits in this group.

It is not easy to breed elite rams.

Bradan Ewes = Feminity

Bradan Dorper Ewes

We have ewes available after inspection from July on wards.

For domestic and export.

We prefer to sell our ewes from 10 months, preferably after they have been joined to one of our stud sires.

Animals that are TYPE 2

are inferior animals and at Bradan Dorpers we cull this animal out of the flock.

Animals that are TYPE 1 CULL

This animal exhibits a cull fault and is removed from the flock.

Type 3 Flock Ewes

is a good animal classified as Flock/commercial.

A Type 3 is not a stud animal.

However, a Type 3 ewe is recognised as being of sufficient quality to produce progeny better than herself, if mated to a stud ram.

Note many Type 3 animals can still have superior production or other traits.
