What an epic 24hrs, 2021 DSSA National Show and a snap lockdown.
We are super proud of our two older kids Huon and Sorelle, who have worked so hard over the past few months preparing our show team, then handling the sheep in the showring while Brad and I worked behind the scene. After being in lockdown and all our planned events being cancelled last year this was just what we needed.
All but 3 of our 18 entries were sired by Bradan 170010 Dimitri.

2021 DSSA National Show Training
Show training Day 1. Always a fun day, thankfully Huon and Sorelle were there to help.
Bradan Dorpers and Awyuna Dorpers will be attending the 2021 National DSSA Show in Bendigo July 16 to 18.

Lambing 2021.
Lamb check with my helper Tayen. So many twins and ewe lambs 😍 😁 Sires are Bradan 190035 Judge ⚖ and Kaya 190351 Kryptonite 🦸♂️
Weaning time!
Lambs have performed quite well, their mothers have done a great job. Lambs average age 88 days, average weight 37.6kg.
Heaviest rams 200003 (Bradan Dimitri Son) and 200004 (Dell Ozkaa Son), both weighing 47kg both 96 days old.
Heaviest ewe 200014( Daughter of Ozkaa) weighing 41kg at 91 days old, followed by 200008 (Daughter of Dimitri) weighed 40kg at 93 days old.
Bradan 200003 weaned today at 96 days old, he weighed in at an impressive 47kg with an average daily gain of .460g. He is one we will be watching closely.
A son of Bradan 170010 Dimitri and out of one of Danielle's favourite old ewes 140059.

Rain glorious rain!
We have been lucky to receive 70mls so far.
Hope it's raining where it's needed.
Hay Season 2019!
So wonderful!! This picture brings us such a feeling of hope, relief and thankfulness.
Last year we faced a failed crop due to drought, it was absolutely heartbreaking. Like so many of our fellow farmers we had to sell a large portion of our stock just to survive the summer in hope of some winter rain this year. Thankfully we got some early rain which set us up for a better start this year. Although not quite our "normal" yield, but we have enough hay to feed our remaining flock as we head into another extremely dry spring/summer.
Praying this big dry breaks soon as we know there are many who have not been as fortunate as us.

October 2019 Weaning Lambs
Some of the lambs we weaned today. They averaged 36.5kg @ 95 days old. Heaviest Ram lamb was Bradan 190013 "Black Friday" @48.5kg and the heaviest Ewe lamb was Bradan 190022 "Jewell" (A grand daughter of Bradan 110009 Treasure)
The sire of these lambs is Bradan 170010 Dimitri.

Dorper Course WA August 2019
We have successfully completed and passed our 5th and 6th senior breed training course. A huge Thankyou to Adrian and Rose Veitch Kaya Dorper, our instructor Stephanus Malan. Arno Vlok thanks for your explanations and guidance 👍. Cherilyn Lowe you have beautiful soul and you crack us up xx It was fantastic to spend some time with new and old friends who share the passion and love for the Breed.
We get so much out of these courses we will always attend as many as we can to keep our eye in and meet new breeders. Highly recommend to all our friends to do at least a Junior Course, you will not be dissapointed.

2023 Cobar Sale Team
We took 6 rams to the 2023 Nutrien Cobar Ram Sale. It was a very tough season which was reflected in the overall sale results. Luckily for Bradan - Awyuna Studs we sold very well, with a nice average of $1900.
Thankyou to the successful bidders and under bidders, not to mention the selling agents from Nutrien Russell.
