We started Bradan Dorpers in 2007. Our property is situated on the Northern Plains of Victoria in the town of Wyuna. We are located on the Murray Valley Highway about 25km east of Echuca, Victoria, Australia. Our love and passion started with 4 ewes......
Foundation Genetics
Our foundation flock is from direct Dell bloodlines. We purchased ewes from Dell Dorpers, some were embryo lambs from John Dell- South Africa. We undertook an initial Artificial Insemination (AI) program in April 2008, using semen from the leading Dell Dorper sires. In 2012 we purchased our first stud ram from Kaya Dorpers, 091053 Kahn (TYPE 5). Resulting in ewes that are now well established maternal lines within our stud, and rams that perform well and show a lot of "grunt".
We strongly believe in breeding with the best genetics available so as to receive the best results possible in our flock. Our goals have always been to produce top quality Dorpers which are highly productive, true to type, maternal ewes and hard working, highly fertile, heavily muscled rams.
Breed Credentials
Stud owners Brad and Danielle have both successfully passed 6 Senior Dorper Courses. Both are hoping to successfully complete a judges exam in the near future.
We highly recommend all potential or existing Dorper breeders take part in at least a Junior course. We promise you will learn something new.

For over 14 years we have been very active members of the Southern Region DSSA.
Previously Danielle & Brad have held office within the Southern Region DSSA, but have now retired after over a decade of service.
Brad is also a federal committee member of the Australian Sheep Breeders Assoc. (ASBA).
